This assignment involved working for an imaginary corporation called Gulfview Architectural and Engineering Services on a team that’s been working on a project for a year. The team has some conflicts and minor differences, so the goal was to find a solution and address them in a memo. Each individual varies which can cause issues when deriving the best direction. The purpose is to analyze a situation and propose a solution in memo format to be able to do so in a professional environment. There weren’t any major limitations except for formatting and properly addressing all problems.
The case study memo felt challenging because balancing all of the needs within the team was no easy feat. My solution is simple and straightforward, and I used my personal experience as a corporate employee to form it. This assignment will be extremely helpful when it comes to writing memos, problem solving, and handling case studies in both future projects and my field. I feel that I could have been more in depth about why my solution has potential for success, but I do think it fulfills the purpose and showcases critical understanding of the assignment. There’s nothing I’d personally do differently as I think this project was successful.
